How can you edit the default associations in IE?

By default, Internet Explorer has various associations where applications
are set to work with it. You can change the              
default associations by:
Go to “Tools” menu in the Internet Explorer.         
Click on “Internet Options” and open the
tab “Programs”.
You will fi nd a list of associations, there
are drop down bars where you can select
an alternative application, for e.g, you can
change the default “HTML editor” from
“Microsoft Word” to “Notepad”.
Click on “Apply” and your Internet Explorer
associations will be edited immediately.
